Dear Hublot PalmaVela friends: The organising committee has the pleasure to inform you that the Notice of Race for the 2010 edition will be published and the registration form will be activated at the beginning of December. Hoping to see you in another promising edition, from the 14th to the 18th of April. See you soon! LAST MINUTE NEWS - 19-04-2009 Ngoni of T. Buckingham wins in RI-1 class after an accepted protest that disqualifies Take Two in the fifth and last race of the HUBLOT PalmaVela regatta because of not completing the course set up for that race. With the new and definitive classification the worst hit is Península Petroleum of John Bassadone, who is tied with Ngoni and finishes sub-champion. QUOTES - 19-04-2009

Deportivamente From a sports point of view, our race with Container was very positive. We were supposed to match race together, but had to cancel that when we broke the mast. Julianne Robert RR. PP. Hublot 5 new boats on the water has a big repercussion. This was one of the best edition also because of the 19 maxis. Everybody is very happy with the regatta and the weather we have had, and that´s very important for the relation between HUBLOT and the R.C.N. of Palma. Luca Bassani, owner of Wally shipyard, is also very happy with PalmaVela whats very important for us too, because of our partnership. We both think this is a very good image for our brands. Claus Peter Offen President of the IMA 19 maxis are a very good fleet for any regatta, specially taking into account that the crews are mainly made up of America´s Cup sailors. The conditions were very changing and the social agenda was great, I know little clubs as organized as this one. For next year´s edition, which also counts for the IMA circuit, we expect 25 maxis, out of which 7 or 8 will be wallies. |
